Friends and Collaborators Mourn the Loss of Director Lynn Shelton: ‘She Was Only Just Getting Started’
Lynn Shelton, the beloved indie film director who also helmed mainstream TV programs like “Little Fires Everywhere,” “Mad Men” and “Glow,” tragically died on Friday. Her publicist cited a previously unknown blood disorder as the cause of death. She was 54.

Shelton made her directorial debut at the Sundance Film Festival in 2006 with “We Go Way Back” but it was her second feature film, “Humpday,” starring Mark Duplass and Joshua Leonard, that opened up doors for the Seattle native. She would later reunite with Duplass on “Your Sister’s Sister,” led by Emily Blunt and Rosemarie Dewitt, and also worked with Duplass on the drama “Outside In,” while Dewitt would pair up with Shelton again in 2013’s “Touchy Feely.”

The series has averaged a 0.9 rating in adults 18-49 and 3.4 million viewers overall in the Nielsen Live+7 ratings. It has performed well in multi-platform viewing, with the first two seasons currently available on Netflix.

Batwoman Boss Talks About Ending Season With That Bat-tastic Reveal, Supergirl 'Cameo' That Didn't Happen
The CW’s Batwoman, despite having to end its season earlier than planned, served up some major twists (and one wild reveal) with its freshman finale.

In the name of neutralizing a hometown football hero who had been victimized by falsified brain scans and become a machetes-swinging brute immune to pain, Batwoman suggested to Commander Kane that they combined forces. But after doing so, as the lights popped back on at a blacked-out football stadium, Batwoman realized that the Crows had surrounded her. And then they attempted to riddle her with bullets, though the Scarlet Knight managed to grapple away

The Voice Season 18 Finale Predictions: Who Will Win — and Who Should

The Voice Season 18 Finale Predictions: Who Will Win — and Who Should
For pretty much the entirety of Season 18 of The Voice, I — and, based on your post-recap comments, you, too — believed that Team Nick Jonas’ Thunderstorm Artis was a lock to win. Now, though, I’m not so sure. Read on, and I’ll explain why while guesstimating the odds of each of the Final Five scoring a victory during Tuesday’s season ender.

Toneisha Harris (Team Blake Shelton) | I love me some Toneisha, but her coach had to save her ahead of the Semi-Finals, and she had to sing for the Instant Save Tuesday. So while she has the voice to win,

‘Hightown’ Review: Cringey Provincetown Drug Thriller Is All Grit and No Glitter

‘Hightown’ Review: Cringey Provincetown Drug Thriller Is All Grit and No Glitter
The level of nuance in the storytelling on “Hightown,” a new hour-long drug thriller from Starz, can be easily illustrated by a fake internet comment shown under a news item about the show’s inciting murder: “Drug addicts are ruining the Cape!” Imagine someone barking that in a Massachusetts accent with all the subtlety of a cocaine-covered rainbow flag, and you’ve got the basic gist of “Hightown.” The gritty crime drama swirls around an eclectic mix of an unusual setting, hackneyed plot tropes, and some of television’s most insidious stereotypes. That’s perhaps not surprising given the hook of the show, which is predicated on the juxtaposition of setting a hard-nosed drug thriller in Provincetown, the utopian gay vacation town at the very tip of Cape Cod, Massachusetts.

Created by newcomer Rebecca Cutter (“Gotham”) and executive-produced by procedural drama maven Jerry Bruckheimer, “Hightown” is an uneven mash-up of incongruous themes,

Anything is possible in the final season of The 100, as Clarke & Co. investigate a mysterious new force known as “the Anomaly.” But what does this otherworldly wormhole have in store for our favorites in the coming weeks? And which fresh faces will arrive to flesh out that story?

At this point, we can only attempt to answer those questions, as much of the CW drama’s final season remains well-shrouded. Showrunner Jason Rothenberg, as well as the show’s social media-friendly cast, have kept on-set posting to a minimum to ensure a season of surprises.
